Golden Shoe: Kane and Lewandowski in lockstep on 3 – Mbappé jumps into top 10

Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski have once again made it to the podium in lockstep in the Golden Shoe ranking. Kylian Mbappé jumped into the top 10. But the biggest leap was made by a Frankfurt player.

Mohamed Salah scored the 2-0 in Liverpool’s 4-1 win against Ipswich Town with his 19th goal of the season, while Erling Haaland scored the 2-1 in Manchester City’s 3-1 win against Chelsea in the top game. It was his 18th goal of the season. Salah remains the number one in the ESM ranking of Europe’s top scorers with 38 points, with Haaland, two points behind, his first pursuer.

Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting Lisbon remained goalless, stopping at 22 goals (factor 1.5) and falling off the podium. A duo has returned there in lockstep: Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane. The former Bayern Munich striker scored in Barcelona’s 7-1 win, while Kane put Bayern on the road after a quarter of an hour in Bayern’s 2-1 win at Freiburg. Lewandowski, Golden Shoe winner in 2020/21 and 2021/22, and title defender Kane have 17 goals and thus 34 points.

But Alexander Isak is also in third place, thanks to a brace from the Newcastle United striker against Southampton.

Three-pointer Mbappé now in the top 10 – Ekitiké from 49 to 27

Kylian Mbappé went into the last weekend in 16th place in the list of Europe’s top scorers, and the Frenchman found himself in 8th place afterwards. The 26-year-old scored a hat-trick in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over La Liga bottom-of-the-league Valladolid.

Hugo Ekitiké made an even bigger leap, albeit not into the top 10. The Eintracht Frankfurt striker scored both goals in the 2-2 draw for the Hessian team at TSG Hoffenheim, climbing 22 places to 27th place with his brace and now a total of 11 goals.
