The unification fight will take place on July 19 in London.
The unification fight between three-time champion Alexander Usyk and British IBF world champion Daniel Dubois will take place on July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London. The Ukrainian boxer announced this on Instagram on Sunday evening. Usyk, who holds the WBA, WBC and WBO world championship belts and recently celebrated two points victories against Tyson Fury, remains undefeated after 23 fights.
This will be Usyk’s second encounter with Dubois. In August 2023, the 38-year-old defeated the Brit by knockout in the ninth round in Wroclaw, Poland.
This means that Germany’s heavyweight hope Agit Kabayel will have to wait longer for his duel with Usyk. The 32-year-old has held the WBC interim world title since his knockout victory over China’s Zhilei Zhang in February. This entitles him to a duel with the Ukrainian.
