Theis just watches: Clippers still on course for the playoffs

In the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers remain on course for the playoffs despite an unfocused performance – Daniel Theis had to watch again. The Milwaukee Bucks won the top game of the day thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Clippers won 101:95 (53:59) at the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday (local time) to clinch an important victory in the battle for the playoffs. Theis also waited in vain for a start in the second game after the All-Star break.

As in the defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder during the week, the Clippers conceded numerous turnovers, with Kawhi Leonard alone making six and Paul George five. However, because Leonard was able to shine with 24 points and Terance Mann produced his best performance of the season with 23 points and twelve rebounds, L.A. was still successful in the end. The Clippers are in third place in the Western Conference

Antetokounmpo plays big – chaos in New Orleans

The Minnesota Timberwolves, who lead the West, lost 107:112 to the Milwaukee Bucks in the top game of the evening. Milwaukee’s star player Giannis Antetokounmpo was the best player of the game with 33 points, 13 rebounds and five assists. Damian Lillard scored 21 points despite a poor shooting percentage and missed a triple double by just one rebound.

The New Orleans Pelicans and the Miami Heat engaged in a heated exchange of blows. At the start of the fourth quarter, four players were ejected after an altercation, including Miami’s star player Jimmy Butler, who had scored 23 points up to that point. Several fans were also ejected, following a foul by Miami’s Kevin Love on Zion Williamson. In the end, the Heat prevailed 106:95 and won their third game in a row.
