Schröder back – Heat first in East

Dennis Schröder has been convincing again for a long time and led the Boston Celtics to their fifth win in a row in the duel with Franz and Moritz Wagner. The NBA on Monday morning.

Schröder scored 22 points in the Boston Celtics’ easy 116-83 win over the Orlando Magic, second only to teammate Jaylen Brown (26 points). In the eight games before, Schröder had never scored more than ten points, probably due to problems with his Achilles tendon. Rookie Franz Wagner scored eight points for Orlando, his older brother Moritz six. The Celtics continued to climb in the Eastern Conference thanks to their winning ways and are now eighth, just behind the Brooklyn Nets, whose free fall continues with their eighth straight loss.

The Nets were without the injured Kevin Durant and James Harden in their 104-124 loss to the Denver Nuggets, and Kyrie Irving’s 27 points were not enough against Nikola Jokic’s team. Last season’s MVP recorded 27 points.

Heat now first in the East – Hartenstein pointless

The Miami Heat are now top of the Eastern Conference as the Chicago Bulls lost the top game to the Philadelphia 76ers 108-119. Joel Embiid with 40 points for the 76ers and DeMar DeRozan with 45 points for the hosts shone – with the better end for Philadelphia, who only trailed in the first quarter.

In the Western Conference, the Dallas Mavericks consolidated their play-off place with a 103-94 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Luka Doncic recorded another triple double with 18 points, ten rebounds and eleven assists, but was only the third-best scorer for his team due to foul trouble. Reggie Bullock and Jalen Brunson each scored 22 points. Maxi Kleber was absent again due to knee problems.

Isaiah Hartenstein went scoreless in just under eight minutes of action in the Los Angeles Clippers’ 113-136 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, grabbing two rebounds and dishing out two assists. The Bucks trio Giannis Antetokounmpo (28 points), Jrue Holiday (27) and Bobby Portis (24) almost single-handedly ensured an unchallenged victory for the champions.
