Richarlison also arrives: Spurs continue to invest heavily

Champions League contenders Tottenham Hotspur have broadened their attacking base and dug deep into their pockets for Richarlison (25).

Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura could even be sold, but even then Tottenham Hotspur would be very well-placed in attack with Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and new signing Ivan Perisic. All the more so now that Everton attacker Richarlison is also moving to London. This was confirmed by Spurs on Friday morning.

The 25-year-old Brazilian, who has signed until 2027 and was also on Chelsea FC’s radar, will reportedly cost Tottenham just under 60 million euros in base fees, not much less than the Toffees paid Watford for the 1.84-metre man in 2018.

The right-footer, who can come in on the left but also play centrally, scored ten goals and set up five others in 30 league games last season and was instrumental in saving Everton from relegation. He scored 14 goals in 36 appearances for Brazil.

This means Spurs, who finished fourth in the Premier League last season, continue to set a fast pace in this transfer window. In addition to Perisic and Richarlison, sporting director Fabio Paratici had also signed midfielder Yves Bissouma (25, 29 million euros, Brighton) and goalkeeper Fraser Forster (34, on loan, Southampton). In addition, defender Clement Lenglet (27) could come from FC Barcelona.
