Of course from the logo: Curry completes the 20,000 – Nets dupe Sixers

Steph Curry got the Golden State Warriors out of their slump and scored his 20,000 point in the league – in typical style. The Brooklyn Nets showed their beautiful side in Philadelphia. The NBA on Friday morning.

Stephen Curry cleared the 20,000-point hurdle and was the decisive man in the Golden State Warriors’ 113-102 win over the West rival Denver Nuggets. The superstar scored 24 of his 34 points after the half-time break. The “Dubs” finished this game with a 13-0 run and denied league MVP Nikola Jokic on the side of the home side another triple-double by one assist (23/12/9).

Curry, who turns 34 on 14 March, currently ranks 49th in the all-time list of top scorers with exactly 20,006 points, topped by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387), Karl Malone (36,928) and LeBron James (36,743). Some serious injuries in his career prevented a better place for Curry in this ranking, which shows Dirk Nowitzki (31,560) in sixth place.

Welcome, Ben Simmons!

In their first game against former teammate James Harden, the Brooklyn Nets surprisingly won easily at the Philadelphia 76ers, who in turn welcomed former player Ben Simmons. The guard is still suffering from a back blister, so he came to the arena in civilian clothes and was eagerly booed.

Harden was weak in his Sixers’ 100-129 win (3 of 17 from the field) and therefore powerless against the performance of his former team around Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. The visitors already led 72-51 at halftime and removed any remaining doubts of victory with a dominant third quarter.

“We did a good job of not fouling,” said Durant afterwards, who recorded 25 points. Irving finished with 22 and Seth Curry, sent to Brooklyn from the 76ers in the Harden trade, scored a whopping 24.

Curry: Harden moves past Miller

Harden, meanwhile, was stuck with just eleven points and six assists, but still overtakes Reggie Miller in the eternal best list of three-pointers specialists and now ranks third behind Steph Curry and Ray Allen. The best scorer for “Philly” was Joel Embiid with 27 points.

In the tight battle for the best play-off spots in the Eastern Conference, the defeat was a serious damper for the 76ers, who are third with 40:25. The Nets, on the other hand, who are eighth with a narrowly positive record of 34-33, gained some breathing space and still have hope of qualifying directly for the knockout phase of the season.
