Inter Milan is strengthening its offense and has presented Ange Yohan Bonny as a promising option. The Champions League finalist is transferring over €20 million to Parma for the 21-year-old.
Now Inter and Parma have sealed the deal: Ange Yohan Bonny is transferring within Serie A with immediate effect and will play for the runners-up in the future.
Bonny had already left his native France in the summer of 2021 to start a new career in Italy. The two-time French U-21 international made 117 competitive appearances for Parma, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists. Bonny made his Serie A debut last season, playing 37 of 38 games and racking up an impressive ten points (six goals, four assists).
It was obviously enough for Inter to open their wallets: Parma, who signed Bonny on a free transfer from Chateauroux four years ago, will reportedly receive a base transfer fee of €23 million, which could rise to €26 million with bonuses.
Big competition – and big inspiration
Bonny faces stiff competition in Inter’s attack, but he also has players from whom he can learn a lot. First and foremost, the 1.89-meter striker will have to find a way past captain Lautaro Martinez and compatriot Marcus Thuram. However, Bonny will primarily be a solution with potential for those in charge.
Opportunities for playing time will nevertheless arise simply due to the large number of competitive matches – Inter are once again juggling three competitions. And the new Milan head coach Cristian Chivu already knows what to expect: like Bonny, the 44-year-old moved to the Nerazzurri from Parma Calcio.
