Klay turns it up again: Warriors dismantle Dallas

No one scored as many points as Luka Doncic, but the Dallas Mavericks lost heavily to Golden State. Elsewhere, the superstars were more successful in action.

Luka Doncic’s 25 points didn’t help either: The Dallas Mavericks conceded a clear 92-130 defeat at the Golden State Warriors, where Klay Thompson showed probably his best game since his comeback. The “Splash Brother” scored 15 points and six assists, but Jonathan Kuminga stole the show with 22 points off the bench. Golden State remains second in the West, Dallas fifth.

The stumbling Los Angeles Lakers won 106-96 against the Brooklyn Nets in the first game after Anthony Davis’ injury layoff (eight points in 24 minutes), who in turn had to continue to do without the injured Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, who was ineligible to play in New York due to missing his vaccination. In the end, 33 points from LeBron James also meant the (only) 24th Lakers win in the 48th game.

The superstars are turning up the heat

In the night to Wednesday (CEST), the stars of the NBA joined James rather than Doncic. Thanks to 36 points from Jayson Tatum and 30 from Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics (128-75 win over Sacramento) coped very well with a poor performance from Dennis Schröder (1/5 from the field, two points). Nikola Jokic (28 points, Denver) and Joel Embiid (42 points, Philadelphia) also led their teams to victory.
