Israeli national player Gadi Kinda has died at the age of 31. The Israel Football Association announced the death of the midfielder. “Israeli football has lost not only a talented player today, but also a beloved and valued person,” the association said in a post on X.

Israeli media reported that Kinda had been suffering from a serious illness. He had recently been treated in a hospital, according to the news site Ynet. The nature of his illness was not known. Kinda was married and had two daughters, the Ynet report added.

Born in Ethiopia

Kinda was born in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to Jewish parents. As a child, he immigrated to Israel with his family.
