Hollatz and Kratzer are missing: Herbert re-nominates three players

World champion Justus Hollatz and center Leon Kratzer are out for the national basketball team’s upcoming European Championship qualifiers. Max DiLeo, Nicholas Tischler and Tim Schneider are in the squad of national coach Gordon Herbert instead

The German basketball team will have to do without Leon Kratzer and world champion Justus Hollatz in the two upcoming European Championship qualifiers. Both are missing from the squad for health reasons, the German Basketball Federation announced. National coach Gordon Herbert nominated Max DiLeo from Oldenburg, Nicholas Tischler from Braunschweig and Tim Schneider from Alba Berlin.

That leaves just one player from the 2023 world champion squad in the squad for the two games against Montenegro in Ludwigsburg on Thursday and in Bulgaria on Sunday: David Krämer. However, the guard from Spanish club CB Granada was only a substitute in the World Cup triumph
