For the Second Time: Kane Wins the Golden Shoe – Undav in the Top 10

For the second time in his career, Harry Kane has won the Golden Shoe. The Bayern striker follows Kylian Mbappé, who finished third this time around.

Harry Kane has added another prestigious award to his personal trophy collection. The Englishman, who also led Bayern to victory in the DFB Cup on Saturday with a hat trick, finished the Bundesliga season with 36 goals, bringing his total to 72 points. As expected, the 32-year-old was not caught by his rivals this weekend and is receiving the trophy for the second time following the 2023/24 season.

Kane leads the final European Sports Media (ESM) rankings for the 2025/26 season by a clear margin ahead of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé. The Norwegian, who plays for Manchester City, scored again last Tuesday in the 1-2 loss to Bournemouth, bringing his total to 27 goals (54 points). Haaland failed to score against Aston Villa on Sunday (1-2) but remains the top scorer in the English Premier League. Mbappé netted once in Real Madrid’s 4-2 win over Athletic Bilbao, securing third place (25/50) and the Pichichi title in La Liga.

Mbappé has thus been dethroned, after snatching the Golden Shoe from Sweden’s Viktor Gyökeres last season with a spectacular late surge.

Surprisingly, fourth in the rankings is former Augsburg player Dion Beljo with 31 goals this season for Dinamo Zagreb—which, with the Croatian league’s 1.5 multiplier, amounts to 46.5 points. Behind Beljo, RCD Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi—with 23 goals for the relegated side—and Brentford striker Igor Thiago (22) finished in fifth and sixth place.

Guirassy third-best Bundesliga player

The top scorer in France’s Ligue 1 is ESM’s seventh-ranked player, Esteban Lepaul, who scored a total of 21 goals for Angers and later Rennes. The 26-year-old shares the spot with Colombian Luis Suarez of Sporting Lisbon, the top scorer in Portugal.

Two more players are missing from the top 10 of the ESM rankings, including one from the Bundesliga: World Cup participant Deniz Undav defended his ninth-place finish, which he earned with a total of 19 goals for VfB Stuttgart. Ayase Ueda of Feyenoord Rotterdam is tenth with 25 goals and 37.5 points.

The next-best Bundesliga player in the ranking is Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy, who finished with 17 goals and 34 points—tied for 13th place with Ante Budimir (Osasuna), Lautaro Martinez (Inter), and Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth/ManCity).
