eFootball 2022: Konami and Arsenal continue partnership

To mark the fifth anniversary of their partnership, Konami and Arsenal agreed to continue.

As eFootball publisher Konami announced in a statement, the partnership will run “long-term” from the 2022/2023 season. This means that Konami will remain Arsenal’s official football video game partner after five years.

The club is available in the usual form, including club shirts, the Emirates Stadium and 3D scans of the squad in the game. However, this is not exclusive – the crests, names, stadium and shirts are also true to the original in FIFA.

Konami wants to “liberate football “

“Arsenal is a great club and has been an important part of our partnership over the last few years. Securing a long-term future that includes a variety of advertising, image and eSports rights and activations is fantastic for Konami and for the eFootball series as it continues to grow and we strive to liberate football,” commented Naoki Morita, European President of Konami Digital Entertainment.

“Konami’s eFootball offers a unique football experience. We are proud to extend our partnership and give our fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in an authentic Arsenal experience. Arsenal and Konami both strive to be at the forefront of fan engagement,” added Juliet Slot, Arsenal PR Manager.

Last week, Konami signed a new cooperation agreement with the French Football Federation. In addition, the Derby della Madonnina between Inter and AC Milan can now be played in eFootball – both Inter and AC Milan are in partnership with Konami.
