Dallas beats Brooklyn with the siren – Warriors fear for Curry

The Dallas Mavericks are on course for the play-offs, as are the Golden State Warriors. But the Warriors have been worried about their best player since Wednesday night (CEST).

Luka Doncic “only” set up the decisive three-pointer – Spencer Dinwiddie sank it with the final siren. But it was mainly the Slovenian’s 37 points that helped Dallas to a narrow 113-111 victory over Brooklyn. Maxi Kleber contributed four points in the race for the play-off places. The run of the Nets, who are only eighth in the East (four wins in a row), has thus been stopped for the time being.

The Los Angeles Lakers around LeBron James (19 points, 8 of 21 converted shots) are even only ninth in the West. At the Minnesota Timberwolves, the 2020 champions conceded an emphatic 104-124 defeat – already the seventh in the month of March (with two wins) and the eleventh away defeat in a row.

Curry injured – Kerr criticises counterpart Smart

Daniel Theis and the Boston Celtics (fourth in the East) won 110-88 at the Golden State Warriors (third in the West), who are anxious about Steph Curry. The superstar was taken off the court early due to a left foot injury and Warriors coach Steve Kerr is waiting for further tests to assess the extent of the injury. The 56-year-old accused Curry’s opponent Marcus Smart of “dangerous play”.
