The Basketball-Bundesliga (BBL) has postponed several league matches for this weekend at the request of the clubs involved.
The games BG Göttingen vs Fraport Skyliners from Frankfurt as well as Niners Chemnitz vs s.Oliver Würzburg (both Saturday) and Alba Berlin vs Gießen 46ers (Sunday) will be rescheduled, the BBL announced on Friday morning. Frankfurt, Berlin and Würzburg had applied for the rescheduling due to several cases of Corona and existing quarantine orders, which have now been approved by the league.
In the afternoon, the match between Brose Bamberg and Hakro Merlins Crailsheim scheduled for Sunday (6 p.m.) was also cancelled. This was done at the request of the Upper Franconians, as the BBL announced. Catch-up dates for the matches have not yet been set.
