“Promoting young talents and developing their full potential” is the motto of the VBLCC series champions’ new youth initiative, which the RBLZ explain as follows: “The “RBLZ YoungstarZ” project was launched to promote eSports both nationally and internationally and to provide a platform for up-and-coming players.” The focus is on “supporting up-and-coming talent and establishing a sustainable project.”
Scouting tournaments, boot camps and online events planned
In concrete terms, this is to be achieved through regular scouting tournaments, boot camps and online events. In the monthly tournaments, U-18 talents can present themselves and “showcase their skills in front of a selected jury”. If they are impressed by the young gamers, a place in the “YoungstarZ” awaits.
Once there, there are boot camps for selected players, where “digital individual training sessions” with the support of “experienced coaches” await every three months. The online events will focus on women and U-16 players, who can look forward to “attractive prize money” as well as the attention of talent scouts.
First quartet already found
Officially, the program starts in February. This is when the first tournaments are to start and the talents of the RBLZ’s future will be found. Because: “The project focuses in particular on the development of talents who could represent Leipzig’s professional squad in the future.”
The reigning treble winner has already identified four potential professionals. Samuel Oskoui Rad, Pawel Wrona, Nick Mittelstädt and Alihan Hadhzi have been intensively scouted in recent months and form the first quartet of the “RBLZ YoungstarZ”
