Youngster Rehberg loses in professional debut in Munich

Munich – Young tennis hope Max Rehberg has lost his first match on the professional tour.

The 18-year-old from Upper Bavaria lost to Miomir Kecmanovic from Serbia 2:6, 3:6 in the first round of the clay court tournament in Munich. Especially in the second set, Rehberg held his own for a long time against the Serb, who is ranked about 1000 places higher in the world rankings, but lost the decisive service game 3:4 due to a forehand error.

Rehberg had received a wild card for the traditional event at the Iphitos facility. Four other German players are in the main draw. Olympic champion Alexander Zverev is seeded number one and is scheduled to enter the tournament on Wednesday.
