World premiere causes excitement

In the final of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at AEW, exceptional wrestlers Will Ospreay and Hangman Page will face each other for the first time in a singles match. The anticipation is already huge.

Two exceptional figures from the world of wrestling are about to face each other in their first singles match – and the anticipation among numerous fans is palpable.

On the latest episode of the TV show Dynamite, WWE rival AEW set the final of the memorial tournament for the late Owen Hart at the next major event, Double or Nothing, on May 25 in Phoenix: Former World Champion Hangman Page defeated up-and-coming Kyle Fletcher in an outstanding 30-minute match with his Buckshot Lariat and will now face Will Ospreay. The winner will challenge the reigning World Champion at the annual highlight All In on July 12 in Texas.

Ospreay vs. Page: The first singles match

This will be the first time Page and Ospreay have faced each other in a singles match: in 2017, the two young talents already faced each other in two multi-man matches at NJPW in Japan – expectations are now much higher for their first man-to-man encounter.

Exceptional athlete Ospreay is now considered by many to be the best wrestler in the world – the Brit, who matured into a top star at NJPW, is now the one who has received a five-star rating from critic Dave Meltzer more often than anyone else for his matches, even more than his role model Kazuchika Okada.

His opponent Page, for his part, has already delivered a series of classics at AEW – his duels against Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega and, above all, his Texas Death Matches against Jon Moxley and old arch-rival Swerve Strickland stand out.

The world premiere of Ospreay vs. Page is already generating a lot of excitement among AEW fans on social media.

AEW: Who will end Moxley’s reign of terror?

Whoever wins will get a world title match in Arlington. The current champion is Jon Moxley, who has to survive a challenge from Samoa Joe in two weeks on the TV special Beach Break.

Moxley and Joe will face each other in a steel cage match, as revealed on Dynamite. Moxley is the favorite going into the match, as his group The Death Riders’ reign of terror over AEW has been the central theme of the AEW program since the fall – and it is to be expected that the league will position a potential savior for the anticipated and highly acclaimed dethroning of former Dean Ambrose for the highlight of the year, All In. Both Ospreay and Page are big crowd favorites and are equally likely contenders.

In the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Final for women, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné (formerly Sasha Banks) and Jamie Hayter will face off at Double or Nothing. The winner will challenge the World Women’s Champion, who will in all likelihood continue to be “Timeless” Toni Storm, at All In.
