Two-match ban for Lacroix

The DFB Sports Tribunal has handed Maxence Lacroix of VfL Wolfsburg a two-match ban for unsporting behaviour.

Lacroix was sent off by referee Deniz Aytekin (Oberasbach) in injury time of the Bundesliga match at Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Saturday after holding Lucas Alario by the jersey from behind as he closed in on goal (90.+6). Alario failed to hit Koen Casteels with the penalty kick, so that it remained 2:0 for Wolfsburg

VfL will now have to do without Lacroix for the next two Bundesliga games. The games against FC Augsburg on Saturday (3.30 pm) and after the international break in Bielefeld (Saturday, 20 November) are affected.

The player and the club respectively have agreed to the verdict, which is therefore legally binding.
