Two-game suspension for Magdeburg captain Müller

Tobias Müller was shown the red card in the 3rd minute on Friday evening. After his emergency foul, the Magdeburg player will have to watch the next two games.

The match against Viktoria Köln could not have started any worse for Müller. First, the 27-year-old played a back pass that was too short. As he tried to make up for his mistake, he grabbed his opponent Simon Handle by the jersey and was shown the red card by referee Lukas Benen for his foul just outside the penalty area. Outnumbered, his team lost 0:1.

The DFB Sports Court handed the defender a ban of two third league games this Monday. As a result, he will miss the top team’s next home match against SC Verl (07 November) and after the international break in the away match at FSV Zwickau (20 November).
