Treble: Marcell Jansen makes HSV cheer – Rugenbergen give away 2:0 lead

On match day 6, everything remained the same at the top of the table in the Oberliga Hamburg 2. The chasing teams did their homework. Hamburger SV III made the leap into the promotion zone. Ex-professional and HSV president Marcell Jansen played a major role in this.

Two matches were on the agenda on Friday evening. TSV Buchholz won their guest game at SC Victoria Hamburg through a late goal by Knobloch (86th). Hamburger SV also held FC Union Tornesch without a point. The man of the match was Marcell Jansen, who scored three times in the first half and thus paved the way for HSV’s second win. In contrast to the previous week, when Marcus Rabenhorst and Christian Rahn’s team gave away a 3-0 lead in Buchholz, this time HSV was not affected by the Union team’s interlude – Lüneburg nodded in a goal in the 24th minute to make it 1:2. Abd El Aal Ali’s (77th) goal to make it 4:1 was the end of the story. The Redoses thus remain the only unbeaten team in the season.
On Sunday, Osdorf’s pursuers had to prove themselves. Two of them, Niendorfer SV and FC Süderelbe, met each other. The host NTSV got off to a good start. After less than a quarter of an hour, it was already 2:0 through Gries (5th) and Merkle (12th). Even the 1:2 tie in the meantime did not really put the home team off track. In the second period, Niendorf made it very clear. Brückner (52.) scored from the spot, Kutschke (67.) and Yago (84.) made it 5:1 – the final score.

Much more exciting was the match between third-placed HEBC and SV Rugenbergen, who are still waiting in vain for their first three points of the season. Despite a 2:0 lead, SVR were unable to bring Eimsbüttel to its knees. Rugenbergen started well and gave the home team little breathing space. They struggled and looked ponderous. Accordingly, the lead was well deserved. Düllberg dusted off Schott’s missed penalty in the 29th minute to give the visitors the lead. In the 41st minute, Hoppe added the second goal after a pass from Richert. Apart from a shot against the post from a distance, there was nothing to be seen from HEBC until then. More or less out of nowhere and at the psychologically most unfavourable time for the visitors, Jodeit scored (45.+2) after a great individual action. What Rugenbergen had deservedly built up in the first half, it threw away in the opening phase of the second half. HEBC coach Kocadal had made changes at the break and brought in Muto and Rinckens. Both appeared together for the first time five minutes after the restart. Muto served Rinckens, who scored to make it 2:2. SVR had hardly digested the shock when Hartmann had to fish the ball out of the goal again. Again Rinckens was on the spot (65.). Rugenbergen then tried to take at least one more point, but remained too harmless offensively. It remained 3:2 for the home team, who with eleven points are level with Niendorf and just behind the leaders.
