The Cologne native defeats American Ramiro Edwin Robles by technical knockout in Montreal.
Cologne heavyweight boxer Nelvie Tiafack has won his professional debut in North America. The Paris Olympic bronze medalist prevailed on Saturday (local time) in Montreal, Canada, with a technical knockout in the fourth round against American Ramiro Edwin Robles.
“I hope this is just the beginning of the journey,” said Tiafack, who signed a contract last week with “Most Valuable Promotions” owned by social media star and boxer Jake Paul: “We’re going to fly to the moon.”
For Cameroon-born Tiafack, it was his second fight since the Summer Games in Paris, where he became the first German boxer to win an Olympic medal in the super heavyweight division (over 92 kg). The 26-year-old made his professional debut in mid-July in Heidelberg, defeating Poland’s Jakub Sosinski by technical knockout.
