Supercoppa to be held in Saudi Arabia again

The Italian Super Cup will take place in Saudi Arabia again this year. However, the timing is different this time than in previous editions.

For the sixth time, the Italian Super Cup will take place in Saudi Arabia this year. As announced by the Italian league on Wednesday, the 38th edition of the Supercoppa will be played in the capital Riyadh. The date has been announced as between December 18 and 22. This means that the Supercoppa will take place in December for the first time since 2019 and thus for the first time since its “move” to Saudi Arabia. Between 2020 and 2024, the competition was always held in January of the following year. What remains is the format with four participants: since 2023, the Supercoppa has been played in a Final Four format. This time, SSC Napoli (champions), Inter Milan (runners-up), FC Bologna (cup winners), and AC Milan (Supercoppa title holders) will be participating. The semifinals are scheduled for December 18 and 19, with the final taking place on December 22.
