Spectacular comeback at WWE

On the 38th birthday of the late Bray Wyatt, his brother Uncle Howdy and his Wyatt Sicks make an impressive return to SmackDown with an emotional tribute.

Spectacular WWE comeback with a bittersweet note: On the 38th birthday of the tragically deceased Bray Wyatt (The Fiend), his brother Uncle Howdy, alias Bo Dallas, and his Wyatt Sicks made a powerful comeback.

The sinister group disrupted the main event of the TV show Friday Night SmackDown and indirectly staked their claim to the tag team titles.

WWE SmackDown: Wyatt Sicks are back

In the main event of SmackDown, the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) defended their WWE Tag Team Titles against the newly promoted English-Spanish duo Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom).

The match was chaotic even before the Wyatt Sicks made their entrance, when first the former champions DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) interfered – now accompanied by Gargano’s wife Candice LeRae – and then their rivals, the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin).

Just when the chaos seemed to have subsided, the arena lights went out and the Wyatt Sicks appeared on stage in full force: Howdy, Erick Rowan (the last survivor of the original Wyatt Family with Wyatt and the also young deceased Luke Harper / Brodie Lee), Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, and Joe Gacy went after all four teams, with Cross taking care of LeRae.

Howdy finished the attack with Wyatt’s old special move Sister Abigail against Gargano, and the show ended with a special moment: Howdy brought out a birthday cake and blew it out – a gesture for Brother Bray (real name: Windham Rotunda), who died of heart failure in 2023 after recovering from a severe case of COVID-19, leaving behind his wife JoJo and four children. Wyatt often ended his WWE appearances by blowing out the light of a gas lantern.

Long break probably due to injury Howdys

Even the formation of the Wyatt Sicks (for which Bray was actually planned as leader) was dedicated to the memory of the former WWE champion, who was known for his creative ideas and references to the horror universe. However, the alliance had disappeared from the scene since December – which was never explained, but according to reports was related to an injury sustained by Howdy.

In the other main matches at SmackDown, two new participants were determined for the Money in the Bank matches at the major event of the same name in Los Angeles in June: Giulia, who was promoted to the main roster last week, won a three-way match against Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega, while LA Knight secured his ticket with a victory over Aleister Black and Shinsuke Nakamura.
