Schröder takes the helm: Warriors win without Curry

Dennis Schröder had another good game for Golden State. Without their superstar Stephen Curry, who was sidelined with knee problems, the Warriors pulled off a 114-103 win against the Utah Jazz.

Led by Dennis Schröder, who put in a strong performance with 23 points and five threes, five rebounds and four assists, Golden State dominated the game and benefited from numerous mistakes by the visitors.

In the final quarter, the Warriors almost gave away what seemed to be a secure lead and allowed the visitors to get back to within one point. But before Schröder returned to the court, who came on again three minutes before the end, his teammates had built up a ten-point lead again.

Schröder takes the lead – Podziemski strong off the bench

The German world champion was supported by Brandin Podziemski, who shone as a bench player with 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Andrew Wiggins was also a reliable scorer for Golden State with 19 points.

From the outset, Steve Kerr’s team put pressure on Utah with aggressive defense. The Warriors forced six turnovers from the Jazz in the first quarter and scored 12 easy points from them. In total, Utah conceded 26 turnovers – a decisive factor in their seventh consecutive defeat.

Sexton fights in vain – Jazz continue their poor run

While Golden State impressed as a team, Collin Sexton was the only bright spot for the Jazz. He scored 30 points, making 12 of his 19 shots, tying his season-best performance. But even his efforts couldn’t prevent Utah’s losing streak. The team has only managed a single win in eleven games and is now waiting for its first victory in San Francisco in almost three years.
