Sandro Schwarz about to move to New York

There’s a lot going on at New York Red Bull at the moment – including on the coaching bench. Everything currently looks as if former Hertha coach Sandro Schwarz will take over

RB Leipzig’s sister club only finished the Major League Soccer season in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. At the beginning of this month, they were knocked out in the first play-off round against Cincinnati.

Former Schalke manager Jochen Schneider is now making some major personnel changes. On Tuesday, the sporting director announced that the contract with coach Troy Lesesne and his assistant Zach Prince would not be extended. “The selection process for the next head coach is in full swing,” Schneider said in a short statement on the club’s website.

A report in the German newspaper “Bild”, according to which the new coach has been found in Sandro Schwarz, the 45-year-old Schwarz, who has also worked for Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga, was released by the Berliners in April of this year. He had previously been under contract with Dynamo Moscow for two years.

In addition to the change on the coaching bench, the club also parted ways with sporting director Denis Hamlett this week. Here, too, the search for a successor is said to have already begun

Is Forsberg coming too?

There have also been reports for days about Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg moving to New York. It is true that the Swedish international is considering a move to the sister club of the Saxons. However, the potential transfer is still in the early stages
