Riot honors deceased LoL world champion with skin and title

Riot Games is dedicating two pieces of in-game content for League of Legends to the recently deceased LoL world champion Maciej ‘Shushei’ Ratuszniak.

According to Fnatic, the former organization of Maciej ‘Shushei’ Ratuszniak, the LoL scene has lost a legend. The Polish player passed away at the age of 36 at the end of April, and the esports world mourned the loss of one of its pioneers.

‘Shushei’ was one of the first world champions in League of Legends in 2011 and was also MVP of the Worlds premiere at DreamHack Summer in Sweden. His trademarks were surprising decisions and picks far removed from the meta.

Three rounds for the “Fnatic Gragas” skin

Ratuszniak also achieved cult status through his outstanding play with the champion Gragas, who recently came under scrutiny for violating EU law. ‘Shushei’ chose him for a personalized skin after his World Championship triumph.

Riot Games is now making the “Fnatic Gragas” skin available to LoL players free of charge in honor of the late icon. All they have to do is play three rounds with the champion in League of Legends. “In memory of Shushei,” is written in the game.

On top of that, the developer is also giving fans the title “Shushei Forever” for free. Both pieces of in-game content will be available until June 2.
