Real midfield coup: Kevin De Bruyne becomes UFL ambassador

First gameplay to be revealed later this week, until then Strikerz Inc. announces another partnership for UFL. Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne joins the illustrious round of brand ambassadors

By now, fans are used to getting minimal info from developer and publisher Strikerz Inc. about the upcoming football game UFL. But the latest announcement has it all: Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne will become a UFL ambassador.

The Citizens superstar was recently voted into the Team of the Year in FIFA 22. Now the standout playmaker will be a poster boy for the new football simulation.

“I’m sure the fans of the sport will love it “

In the official press release, the Belgian international is highly euphoric about the collaboration: “The moment I heard about UFL, I was sure it could be the next big thing in online football.”

The 30-year-old pro promises a lot for the upcoming football game, which will be free and is scheduled for release this year: “Strikerz Inc. are revamping and improving the genre. And that’s like a breath of fresh air. I’m sure fans of the sport will love it.”

Whether UFL can truly bring a breath of fresh air to the genre may be revealed on 27 January, when the game’s first gameplay footage is unveiled.

It also remains to be seen whether De Bruyne will have a licensed presence in the game, like fellow Liverpool FC players Roberto Firmino and Chelsea FC’s Romelu Lukaku.

With this agreement, De Bruyne joins a illustrious line-up of partners who will be working with Strikerz Inc. In addition to his fellow footballers, several clubs have also joined as partners, such as Borussia Mönchengladbach, AS Monaco or most recently Celtic Glasgow.
