Ella Seidel fails at the WTA tournament in Indian Wells – not the first German player to do so.
Tennis player Ella Seidel has missed out on the second round at the 1000 tournament in Indian Wells. The 21-year-old from Hamburg lost to Anastasia Zakharova in straight sets, 2-6, 2-6, and is the next German player to be eliminated.
Following the elimination of Tatjana Maria and the withdrawal of Eva Lys, Laura Siegemund is the last remaining German player in the high-stakes tournament in California. Her first-round match against Croatia’s Petra Marcinko is scheduled for Thursday evening.
