Drew McIntyre moves from RAW to SmackDown at WWE – and qualifies for No Escape. Other dice also fall
It had already been hinted at by the events surrounding the Royal Rumble – now it’s official: WWE has made another major roster change,
Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has been transferred from Monday’s RAW show to Friday’s Friday Night SmackDown (along with the women’s team Katana Chance and Kayden Carter). On his debut that night, he immediately qualified for No Escape (Elimination Chamber) on March 1.
WWE: Drew McIntyre new to SmackDown
With a win over Jimmy Uso and LA Knight, the Scot secured the third ticket for the six-man cage fight for the second major WrestleMania title match – after John Cena and CM Punk. In the medium term, McIntyre seems to be on a collision course with Damian Priest at SmackDown, who eliminated him at the Rumble.
In the women’s division, Bianca Belair and Alexa Bliss, who made her return at the Rumble and is likely to align herself with SmackDown as well, qualified for second and third place after Liv Morgan.
Solo Sikoa is back
At No Escape, WWE’s male and female stars will compete for the major title matches that remain when Rumble winners Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair have made their decisions.
Uso is expected to challenge World Champion Gunther, while Flair will challenge WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton – the two have already faced off on SmackDown. The No Escape winner should face World Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, while the men’s “dream match” is John Cena vs.
Rhodes is likely to be busy with an old foe until then: at the end of SmackDown, Solo Sikoa returned and struck down Rhodes with his Samoan Spike.
