NBA Draft Order 2018/2019

The day of the NBA Draft has finally arrived and we will soon find out if the rumours will come true. The Barclays Center in Brooklyn is where all of the excitement will be unfolding tonight as the draft players discover their destinations. ESPN will be televising the event so you can keep up with the live selections.

The Phoenix Suns pick first, with Sacramento Kings next up, followed by the Atlanta Hawks. Rumours have been circulating about who will be in the top ten draft picks, with no stand-out top pick this year. Michael Porter Jr. is being billed as the biggest wild card, with injuries being the only real reason he is not going to be the first pick.

Could LeBron James be moving on?

The Cleveland Cavaliers may be looking to fill a big LeBron James sized hole in their team, with Trae Young rumoured to have done a workout with them. Marvin Bagley III is going to be one of the first names and Luka Doncic is also expected to be high up on the picks. Most of the mock drafts have Deandre Ayton placed as the number one pick for the Phoenix Suns and Bagley going to the Kings. 6’8 Luka Doncic could be heading to Atlanta Hawks, leaving the Memphis Grizzlies to pick Michael Porter Jr.

We’re expecting Mo Bamba, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Wendell Carter Jr. to be the other early selections. This draft will be filled with twists and turns as each pick is made. This is the last NBA Draft based on the existing rules, as the new format for the NBA Draft Lottery takes effect next year. All eyes will be on the NBA Draft order tonight in Brooklyn.
