Narrow win against Braunschweig: Bayreuth sniffing the play-off places

Bayreuth has at least come close to catching up with the play-off places in the BBL with a win against Braunschweig.

Raoul Korner’s team won against the Löwen from Lower Saxony thanks to a strong second half with 94:92 (43:52) and is now 16:18 points in tenth place in the table.

Marcus Thornton led Bayreuth to victory with 27 points against the Lions, for whom Martin Peterka was the best scorer (22). Braunschweig slips to 13th place with now 12:20 points.

Ahead of Bayreuth are BG Göttingen (9th), Hakro Merlins Crailsheim (8th) and Hamburg Towers (7th), three teams with 20:12 points each. The best eight teams in the BBL qualify for the play-offs.
