Rafael Nadal impresses during training at his academy. A viral video shows the Spaniard in great shape ahead of his exhibition comeback.
Rafael Nadal is hitting balls again – and a training video from his Rafa Nadal Academy is attracting a lot of attention on social media. The Spaniard can be seen in an intense session, moving dynamically and striking the ball with his usual power. Nadal’s forehand and footwork in particular are catching fans’ attention.
Spanish tennis journalist and YouTuber José Morón also shared the clip, commenting: “Two years after his retirement, he looks significantly fitter than in his previous professional seasons.” Whilst the video does not provide a sporting comparison under competitive conditions, it does show Nadal in top form on the court.

For the 22-time Grand Slam champion, the session is part of his preparations for his next appearance in front of a live audience. Nadal will take part in exhibition matches as part of the celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of his academy.
These would be his first matches in front of a live audience since the end of his professional career – so fans are following every one of the Spaniard’s training sessions very closely.
