The mega fight between the two boxing world champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk seems to become reality. The duel is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia in December.
What many boxing fans have long dreamed of now seems to become reality: The mega-fight between the two world champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk has been finalised. Fury as well as the latter’s manager Frank Warren announced this on social media.
“Signed,” emblazoned large on a post showing the likenesses of the two boxers. And Warren wrote: “This is the greatest fight there can be in our sport”. At the same time, he thanked Saudi businessman Turki Al-Sheikh, who had arguably been involved in the making of the fight.

The fight is scheduled to take place as early as 23 December at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an alternative date a day in January is mentioned.
Fury fights in October
Curiosity: Fury will fight former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in a showdown on October 28. So he has around eight weeks to prepare for the Usyk fight.
The 35-year-old Briton, who holds the WBC world title belt, had won against Dereck Chisora last December. The Ukrainian Usyk last won against Daniel Dubois in August. The 36-year-old is world champion of the IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO boxing federations.
The unification fight between the two heavyweights could not be finalised for a long time. Only now Fury and Usyk seem to have come to an agreement. Nothing is known about the fight exchange.
