Miami – Alexander Zverev was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Tennis Masters in Miami. The Olympic champion lost 3:6, 6:1, 3:6 to Casper Ruud. The Norwegian will next face surprise man Francisco Cerundolo from Argentina.
Zverev seemed to have snatched the match in the second after a poor first set, but was then quickly down by a break again in the third and could not recover from that deficit. The hard-court tournament in Florida is endowed with around 8.6 million US dollars and is one of the most important events on the ATP Tour.
