Lewandowski brings the next victory on the way

The FC Bayern has continued its winning streak. On Wednesday evening, the Munich team won 5-0 against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League and celebrated their ninth victory in a row. Two players stood out in particular.

At the end, the substitutes were allowed to make their presence felt. Sarr served Pavard on the right, a sensitive cross, a powerful header by Choupo-Moting – and it was 5:0 for FC Bayern.

It was a combination of three jokers that put the finishing touches to a one-sided football match on Wednesday evening. 22:6 shots on goal, 64 per cent possession and 54 per cent of duels won: it was a commanding performance by the Bavarians. While they had been a little inattentive in the first half, after the change of ends they went to work with more sharpness, precision and determination. In the end, they won the game, which was fully deserved.

Gnabry starts, Nagelsmann changes the system
After the 3:1 in Fürth, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann had only called one new player into his starting line-up. Because Pavard took his place on the bench and Gnabry moved into the team, the Munich side again aligned themselves in a 4-2-3-1 and moved away from the 3-4-2-1 they had last started with in the Bundesliga.

Nagelsmann’s side took the initiative from the start and built up pressure, but looked a little sluggish at times in the first 45 minutes. Nevertheless, the Bavarians led by two goals at the break: Lewandowski first scored a penalty after a handball by Kiev’s captain Sydorchuk (12.), then the world footballer scored with a well-considered low shot (27.).

Just before the break, the FCB allowed a great chance for the Ukrainians, in which Neuer was able to distinguish himself (41., de Pena), but after the restart, the favourites tightened up and increased the result in the final phase: After a Sané pass, Gnabry successfully completed a counterattack (68., de Pena). ), then Sané’s cross slipped over his instep and landed in the Kiev goal (74th), before Choupo-Moting scored as well (87th).

Thus Bayern celebrated their ninth win in a row, in which not only Lewandowski stood out, but also Sané. On Sunday (5.30 p.m.), the Bavarians have the chance to record their tenth victory in an away match in Frankfurt.
