The Karlsruhe tennis pro Yannick Hanfmann has clearly come to terms with his first round exit at the ATP Masters in Miami and has returned to winning ways.
At the ATP tournament in Marrakesh, the 34-year-old advanced to the round of 16 as number eight seed with a 7:6 (8:6), 6:4 opening win over Dutchman Jesper de Jong.
In the round of the best 16, Hanfmann, who reached the final in Santiago de Chile at the beginning of the month, will face Moroccan Karim Bennani. Apart from Hanfmann, no other Germans will be playing in North Africa.
