American professional boxer Devin Haney is the new undisputed world lightweight champion. The 23-year-old defeated Australian George Kambosos by unanimous decision on points in Melbourne on Sunday. Haney thus remained unbeaten in his 28th professional fight.
Thanks to the victory, the American became the first boxer in his weight class to win all four world titles. He also successfully defended his WBC title at the fifth attempt, at the same time taking the WBA, IBF and WBO belts from Kambosos.
