Fury Wins Again

Tyson Fury wins at a charity boxing event in Thailand. Selected scenes from the fight will soon be featured in a Netflix documentary.

Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury scored his latest victory at a boxing event in Pattaya, Thailand.

The 37-year-old needed seven rounds to defeat Polish veteran Mariusz Wach (46). According to The Sun—which promptly renamed the Brit “Thai-Son Fury”—the fight lasted significantly longer than most observers had expected.

No Live TV Broadcast

At the end of the seventh round, the referee, in consultation with a doctor, stopped the fight and declared the “Gypsy King” the winner.

There was no live TV broadcast: Certain footage is reportedly being used exclusively for the Netflix documentary about the Fury family. All proceeds from the event will benefit a charity that supports underprivileged children in Pattaya.

Tyson Fury has already planned his next spectacle for November: the “Battle of Britain” against former world champion Anthony Joshua. However, Joshua must first defeat Albanian Kristian Prenga on Saturday.
