Fury comeback after 15 months

Tyson Fury will box Arslanbek Makhmudov in London this evening. The fight will be shown live on a streaming portal.

Tyson Fury has not fought a boxing match for over a year. This makes the interest in his fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight against Arslanbek Makhmudov all the greater.

Up to 70,000 spectators are expected to attend this mega event at the London Premier League club’s stadium when the 37-year-old Briton takes on the Canadian-based Russian in his home match.

How to watch Fury – Makhmudov live today

Stream: Netflix

Even though there is no world title at stake tonight, the fight is attracting a lot of attention worldwide. This is mainly due to Fury, who is making his comeback 15 months after his declared retirement.

During his career, the “Gipsy King” has won the world titles of the five major boxing associations and is considered one of the best and most spectacular fighters of his time.

Of his 37 professional fights, Fury has won 34, 24 of them by knockout, and has only suffered two defeats with one draw.

His opponent Makhmudov has also only lost twice as a professional boxer, but is still going into the fight with Fury as the underdog. One of his two defeats came against the German Agit Kabayel.

Mega-fight in London also has consequences for Agit Kabayel

For the man from Bochum, who is also in London, the fight could have consequences. Should Fury win, the interim WBC world champion would probably have to wait even longer for his long-awaited world championship fight against champion Aleksander Usyk.

The Ukrainian has recently often emphasized that he wants to fight Fury again. Should he win against Makhmudov beforehand, the duel would be even more lucrative than it already is and promise a far bigger purse than a fight against Kabayel.

The boxing event in London starts with preliminaries at 8 pm. The fight between Fury and Makhmudov will begin between 10.30 pm and 11 pm German time.

A Netflix subscription is all you need to watch the fights, no additional pay-per-view payment is required.
