Formula 1 weather 2023: The forecast for the Mexican Grand Prix

The latest weather forecast for the 19th race weekend of the 2023 Formula 1 season at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City

There are very crucial questions on every race weekend of Formula 1 2023, namely: what is the weather forecast? Can we expect a wet track on site? Will there be a need for intermediates or even rain tires? Or will it simply remain consistently dry from practice through qualifying to the race, and dry tires will suffice? In short: What do the drivers around Nico Hülkenberg, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton have to be prepared for?

To answer these questions, our editors keep a close eye on the weather at the Formula 1 venues several days before the tests or race weekends begin. And as the event progresses, this preview article is constantly updated with new information on the weather, such as temperature in degrees Celsius, wind strength, cloud cover and expected precipitation for the individual days per weekend.

The result is a weather forecast that is as accurate as possible for the respective Grands Prix of the 2023 Formula 1 season. However, all information is without guarantee; after all, some motorsport locations such as Spa-Francorchamps or the Nürburgring are known for having particularly changeable weather that cannot always be accurately forecast. Precipitation can also occur there unannounced.

Formula 1 will next take to the track in Mexico City for the Mexico Grand Prix, the 19th race of the year, from October 27 to 29.

The current weather forecast for the race weekend in Mexico City:

As far as the weather is concerned, the drivers and teams can expect a trouble-free weekend in Mexico City with largely dry conditions, warm but not hot temperatures and little wind. The forecast in detail.

On Friday (October 27), there are still many clouds in the sky in the morning, from which a few drops may fall sporadically. However, large amounts of rain are not expected. From midday on, the sky will clear up and the sun will shine.

Also the wind will not change compared to the previous day, it will continue to blow on average with 10, in gusts up to 25 km/h from the west.

On Sunday (October 29), the sun will already be visible in the morning, before some clouds will move in during the afternoon, but they will not bring rain. With daily highs of 25 degrees Celsius, it will remain similarly warm as on the previous days.

The wind freshens slightly with an average of 15, in gusts up to 30 km/h, with the different weather models currently calculating different wind directions and both tailwinds and headwinds seem possible on the start and finish straight.
