On 6 November, Football Manager 2024 will be released and thus enter its anniversary edition. This was announced by Sports Interactive. On that day, however, not only the new and 20th part of the series will be released, but also “the last of its kind”.
But before Football Manager 2025 opens with groundbreaking features for the franchise, the focus is on the next part. It is not only celebrating its birthday – it is also about to make its debut. Namely in Japan, where the game will be released for the first time.
One of the main attractions of FM 2024 is the possibility to continue playing your career across all titles. This means that if you have a score that you don’t want to give up, you can continue it in the new Football Manager. More innovations, including an update of the game characters and smarter transfers and finances, will be presented in detail in the course of September.
Netflix to be “exclusive home of Football Manager 2024 Mobile “
Simultaneously with the announcement of the release date, Sports Interactive announced that Netflix “will be the exclusive home of Football Manager 2024 Mobile”, making it “part of the FM offering this year”. Specifically, the announcement said that “Netflix members around the world will now have access to FM in the same app as their favourite movies and TV shows”. “FM24 is the 20th game in the Football Manager series and a love letter to football. It is the conclusion to this chapter of our story and the most complete version we have ever produced,” said Miles Jacobson, studio director of Sports Interactive.
Next year, he added, Football Manager will also be released as a console edition in addition to the PC and Mac versions. For both the Xbox Series XS and PlayStation 5, FM will once again be available on Xbox and PC/Mac through Xbox Game Pass, and an edition will also be released again for the Nintendo Switch.
