Age is taking its toll: Ronaldo loses speed and stamina in FC 26. This results in a deduction in his overall rating. However, he is only downgraded in FUT, not in Career or Kick Off.
With the ratings for the Saudi Professional League, one question in particular takes center stage: What rating will Cristiano Ronaldo receive? Given that he is now 40 years old, another downgrade seemed likely. However, EA SPORTS is taking a cautious approach.
The developer has only made cuts in Football Ultimate Team (FUT), reducing the points by one – from 86 to 85. For players in Career or Kick Off mode, however, nothing has changed. EA SPORTS already made this change in November last year.
Specifically, Ronaldo’s virtual speed has been reduced. His sprint speed has been reduced by two points, which lowers his overall speed rating by one point. There have also been downgrades in passing, but at the same time an upgrade: his free kick accuracy has increased from 76 to 81. Ronaldo loses one point in physicality, mainly due to a three-point reduction in stamina. On the other hand, his jumping ability and strength have each been increased by one point.
With a rating of 85, Ronaldo receives the second-lowest rating of his long FC and FIFA career. Only in his debut year in 2004 was he rated lower, with a score of 80. In FIFA 07, he was already rated 87.
No romance in Manchester
For many soccer romantics, a dream came true in 2021 when the Portuguese player returned to Manchester United. The club where his career really took off in 2003. However, the second chapter with the Red Devils did not turn out to be a romance. After just a year and a half, CR7 left England again and joined Al-Nassr.
The Portuguese player regularly scores goals in the Saudi Professional League: 14 goals in 16 games in his first season, followed by 35 goals in 31 games and 25 goals in 30 games last year. Cristiano Ronaldo is also still a key player in the national team. After winning the European Championship in 2016, he helped Portugal win the Nations League in the summer, beating Germany 2-1 in the semifinals. The veteran scored the decisive goal.
