Davis Cup: Belgium in the semifinals

The Belgians confidently prevail in their duel with neighboring France.

The Belgian tennis team has reached the semifinals of the Davis Cup in Bologna. On Tuesday, the Belgians won 2-0 against their neighbors France in the opening match of the traditional team competition. Raphael Collignon first won a nerve-wracking match against Corentin Moutet 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 after 2 hours and 33 minutes of play, then Zizou Bergs sealed the deal in the second singles match with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) victory over Arthur Rinderknech.

In the semifinals, Belgium will now face either Italy or Austria, who will battle it out on Wednesday. However, the defending champions will have to do without their star players Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti. Germany, with Tokyo Olympic champion Alexander Zverev, will play Argentina on Thursday.
