CFC win lacklustrely in Panitzsch – Bunjaku treble for Cologne

Chemnitzer FC prevailed in the state cup against a brave Kreisoberligist. Also Viktoria Köln, Hessen Kassel and FSV Frankfurt could be satisfied.

In the round of 16 of the Saxony Cup, Chemnitzer FC played against SV Panitzsch/Borsdorf in the first division on Wednesday. The brave outsiders put up a good fight in front of 800 spectators, but were unable to prevent a 3-0 defeat in the end.

“They did a good job, defending with all their might. We didn’t have the right means. But we scored the three goals,” CFC defender Robert Zickert was quoted as saying by MDR. Vidovic (14th), Keller (64th) and Schimmel (74th) scored the goals for the regional league team. “A day to enjoy, we sold ourselves so well. Speechless, we’ll celebrate a bit more today,” summed up SV’s Tobias Heinrich.

Hessen Cup: Vesco and Güclü score twice

In the Hessen Cup, regional league side Hessen Kassel did not show any weakness in their third round assignment at group league side VfL Biedenkopf. Thanks to goals from Daniele Vesco (2) and Serkan Durna, it was a smooth performance for the ex-second division side in a 3-0 (1-0) win.

Southwest rivals FSV Frankfurt, meanwhile, prevailed 4:1 (2:1) at Hessenligist Viktoria Griesheim. Sommer, Gottwalt and twice Güclü scored for the team from the banking metropolis.

Bunjaku show at Viktoria Köln – Aachen win away at Tivoli

Third division side Viktoria Köln are also among the winners. Veteran Bunjaku led the Höhenberger with three goals to a 5:1 victory at SSV Bornheim into the next round. Fritz and 17-year-old debutant de Meester also scored.

Alemannia Aachen, meanwhile, won the Central Rhine Regional Cup 2-0 against host district league side SV Helpenstein in front of 1400 spectators at their home ground, the Tivoli. Dej and Dervisevic scored the goals for the Kartoffelkäfer.

Nord-Regionalligist Weiche Flensburg already lost 1:2 in the city duel at Oberliga team TSB on Sunday. On Wednesday evening, VfB Lübeck, after squandering a 2:0 lead, won 5:2 after extra time against Heider SV. Brackelmann, Grupe and Krolikowski scored in the extra time to decide the game in favour of the Marzipanstadt side.
