At Fürth’s request: Islamovic’s playing license is revoked

Ajdin Islamovic will no longer play for SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the VBLCC. This has been confirmed by the club and the league. The club did not want to comment on the exact reasons

Shortly before the end of the regular season, there has been a personnel change in the Virtual Bundesliga Club Championship (VBLCC). SpVgg Greuther Fürth has submitted an application to the German Football League (DFL) to withdraw Ajdin ‘Eyedin98’ Islamovic’s playing license. The club and DFL have confirmed that this has been granted. At the same time, Egrem Dogan will be included in the Fürth squad.

The club would not comment on the reasons why ‘Eyedin98’ will no longer play for the Franconians. According to eSport information, it is for disciplinary reasons. This marks the end of a short chapter, as the Austrian only moved to Fürth at the start of the season. The 25-year-old previously played for Hannover 96 and Viktoria Berlin.

Fürth without prospects of a play-off place

Fürth’s season is anything but going well in sporting terms. The team is currently bottom of the table. With a deficit of eight points, there is still only a mathematical chance of overtaking Darmstadt 98 and thus dropping out of the red lantern.

To do so, they will have to get the maximum points from their remaining three games – and the schedule is not easy. The Franconian derby is scheduled for today, Tuesday, and will be made up. The offline matchday in Cologne will be against Karlsruher SC, who still have hopes of finishing in the top 8. The regular season for the cloverleaf will finally come to an end against SV Elversberg. The Saarland side also still have a chance of finishing in a play-off spot
