Brazilian UFC fighter Allan Nascimento has died unexpectedly at the age of 34.
As the UFC announced on Monday evening, the flyweight was found unresponsive in his bed on the morning of August 3—after apparently suffering a heart attack in his sleep. Despite the efforts of the emergency responders who were called to the scene, he could not be saved.
In an official statement, the UFC said: “Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Allan’s family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
Nascimento was still in the Octagon as recently as June
Nascimento, who was nicknamed “Puro Osso” (“All Bone”) because of his slender build, was from São Paulo, where he also trained with Team Chute Boxe—alongside his compatriot Charles Oliveira.
He had been under contract with the UFC since 2021, compiling a record of four wins and two losses, with both losses coming via split decision.
In total, he competed in 29 professional fights, winning 22 of them. His last appearance in the Octagon was a decision loss to American Mitch Raposo at a Fight Night event in Las Vegas in June.

His death caused deep shock throughout the martial arts world.
His close friend and training partner Charles Oliveira wrote on social media that he had “lost a brother” whom the martial arts had given him.
Numerous other UFC athletes, such as Dustin Poirier, Henry Cejudo, and Mackenzie Dern, also expressed their shock and offered their condolences.
