Anger at EA SPORTS: FUT servers go on strike at the weekend

Server problems brought the FC 24 Weekend League to a halt on Saturday. Anyone who started a match was not only disconnected, but also awarded a loss. This caused anger among the players

Many special cards with an outstanding rating: The Team of the Season period is another highlight for many Football Ultimate Team players – before the mode slowly but surely enters the fall.

As a result, the Weekend League is full of energy – after all, there are new rewards. Players want to get the best TOTS cards by achieving high ranks. However, at the start of the Bundesliga TOTS and before the second mixed team, in which Cristiano Ronaldo receives an item, there was a lot of frustration and anger among the players.

Defeat at the green table

This was caused by the game’s servers. Before a match was even kicked off, a message appeared on the screen stating that the connection had been lost. In the end, the match was counted as a loss – which infuriated the Weekend League players.

That evening, the developer and publisher signaled that they were aware of the problem. An update followed a few hours later, which Joel Doonan, Lead Live Operations Producer, announced on X: “FC 24 players experiencing errors in Ultimate Team: We’ve just made a change that will hopefully result in an improvement. But you’ll need to restart your console and your game to get the change. “

Some of those affected by the bug have demanded compensation. However, given the number of players to be compensated, it is unlikely that there will be any. In addition to the demands or displeasure, there were also concerns. After all, the game will be available free of charge for all PS Plus subscribers from May 7. “If the servers are already on their knees…” is one of the fears shared via X.
