Daniel Altmaier will not play for a place in the quarter-finals of the French Open in Paris until Sunday evening. The Kempen native’s round of 16 match against 15th-seeded American Frances Tiafoe will be the fourth and final match on Court Suzanne Lenglen.

The matches on the second-largest court at Stade Roland Garros will begin at 11:00 a.m. One men’s singles match and two women’s singles matches are scheduled before Altmaier’s match.

Criticism of one-sided scheduling

Once again, women have been left empty-handed in the line-up for the prominent late session on the large Philippe Chatrier court. At 8:15 p.m., the number eight seed, Lorenzo Musetti from Italy, will face Holger Rune from Denmark (No. 10).

This means that women will also be left out on the eighth evening. The organizers had already faced some criticism for the one-sided schedule and accusations of discrimination.
