WWE announces Gunther suspension

The wrestling league has announced that the Austrian star has been suspended “indefinitely.” The suspension is not real—it is obviously intended to build up his next big match against a prominent name.

At WrestleMania 41 last weekend, the reign of Viennese WWE phenomenon Gunther as World Champion came to an end. Now he has – apparently – fallen even lower.

WWE announced on Friday an “indefinite suspension” for the “Ring General” after he attacked commentators Michael Cole and Pat McAfee on Monday’s Monday Night RAW TV show in anger over his defeat to Jey Uso on Saturday. The suspension is not real – there is obviously another reason behind it.

Gunther heads for match with Pat McAfee

The announcement made by former wrestler Adam Pearce, who appears as general manager on RAW, is part of a staged event that is obviously intended to do what is known in insider speak as “get your heat back” with Gunther.

The attack on Cole and McAfee drew attention and fan emotions back to Gunther and sent a signal that he is by no means out of the picture after his defeat. It looks like Gunther’s next project is a feud with former NFL punter and well-known podcast host McAfee.

McAfee has already started cross-promotion on his “Pat McAfee Show.” In recent years, he has fought a series of WWE matches at irregular intervals, stunning audiences with his amazing performances on several occasions.
