Tiafack wins third professional fight

The Olympic bronze medalist defeats Poland’s Piotr Cwik by technical knockout in the second round in Oberhausen.

Cologne heavyweight boxer Nelvie Tiafack (27) has made his mark again after turning professional. The Olympic bronze medalist from Paris defeated Poland’s Piotr Cwik by technical knockout in the second round on Saturday in Oberhausen, winning his third professional fight.

Ahead of Agit Kabayel’s fight, Tiafack had the opportunity to prove himself in front of a large crowd of 13,000 spectators at the Rudolf Weber Arena.

Tiafack thanked Kabayel for the opportunity to show his skills and now wants to quickly climb the career ladder. “I want to stay very active,” said Tiafack, who is signed to “Most Valuable Promotions” by social media star and boxer Jake Paul. For Cameroon-born Tiafack, it was his third fight since the Summer Games in Paris, where he became the first German boxer to win an Olympic medal in the super heavyweight division (over 92 kg). In his professional debut in mid-July in Heidelberg, he defeated Poland’s Jakub Sosinski by technical knockout, then went on to win by technical knockout in the fourth round against the American Ramiro Edwin Robles in Montreal, Canada.
